Im sending picture using vga direct to my sharp 70" but thinking id like to send everything via hdmi. No it has a port that looks like hdmi but its different, i dont know what it sisplayport. Or is there a way to make plex look at more than one drive for all movies? I also plan to run kody and stream movies on my network, if the adapter passes audio and video do i really need a graphics card to play bluerays and ripped bluerays?
Ok its been awhile, i have plex, kodi disp,ayport working great i upgraded ram, to 16gigs.

I i get a cable with hdmi and display port on the other end will that send sound and video to my receiver? Thanks very new to this and information would be appreciated. I figured it out, its a display port. Use for dvd playback, i just upgraded to windows 10 and for reason windows media wont play any disk for some reason. I have an external 1tb drive.
